Lá, no entanto, ela encontrou a japonesa Haruka Kaju.

Primo Shines with World Silver as Zachova Takes Bronze

Israel’s Kerem Primo produced the best performance of her senior career to date in Baku on Wednesday, taking a stunning world silver on a day when Europe placed five women inside the top eight of the -63kg category. The 21-year-old had never previously reached these heights on the senior stage, but none of that seemed to matter once the competition began. Primo fought confidently throughout the preliminary rounds, taking out names that included Poland’s Angelika Szymanska and Mongolia’s Enkhriilen Lkhagvatogoo. By the end of the morning, the world junior silver medallist and 2022 EYOF champion had earned something entirely new: a place in a senior world championship final. There, however, she ran into Japan's Haruka Kaju. Primo approached the final positively and tried to impose her gripping from the beginning, but Japan’s defending world champion shut it down. Kaju opened the scoring with seoi-otoshi for yuko and immediately looked to finish the contest on the ground. Primo escaped the first hold after nine seconds, keeping herself alive when it appeared the final might already be over.
